About :

R programming for beginners - This video is an introduction to R programming. I have another channel dedicated to R teaching: https://www.youtube.com/c/rprogramming101 In this video I provide a tutorial on some statistical analysis (specifically using the t-test and linear regression). I also demonstrate how to use dplyr and ggplot to do data manipulation and data visualisation. Its R programming for beginners really and is filled with graphics, quantitative analysis and some explanations as to how statistics work. If you’re a statistician, into data science or perhaps someone learning bio-stats and thinking about learning to use R for quantitative analysis, then you’ll find this video useful. Importantly, R is free. If you learn R programming you’ll have it for life.

This video was sponsored by the University of Edinburgh. Find out more about their programmes at http://edin.ac/2pTfis2

This channel focusses on global health and public health - so please consider subscribing if you’re someone wanting to make the world a better place – I’d love to you join this community. I have videos on epidemiology, study design, ethics and many more.

When trying to call gapminder using library(gapminder), I get the following error: "Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘gapminder’ in loadNamespace(j <- i[[1L]], c(lib.loc, .libPaths()), versionCheck = vI[[j]]):
there is no package called ‘pillar’"

Thanks for your teaching, it's awesome. However, I encounter a problem, that package 'dyplr' is not available for R version 3.6.2. What should I do if I encounter such similar incident?

You are an absolute beacon in the darkness that has been my understanding and application of R , and you helped me remember all the stats from my masters a decade ago. In short, I couldn't have done my assignment without you. Love your presenting style and method of demonstration. Thank you for passing on your affinity with R!

The heavy work is to get R running on Windows 10! Looks like a Box with several hundred Lego Bricks in- or like installing Windows with several hundred DLLs lacking. I was programming Arduinos in C++- which is very easy. On my compu the R programm logo does not show up. Read through some Manuals- also very confuse. Nobody can get this program and its components into a real self installing routine which pulls all its parts and packages in order together? I will need a guide through the set up process. Once installed it seems to work well and is making good graphics, too. Also got stuck in the R Studio set up. The Tutorials on You Tube are good- but useless if you do not get R running.

Hey, thanks so much for this vid!!
I'm currently struggling to do some data analysis on behavioural data for my thesis and this was very useful in helping me filter out some of the variables that I need excluded in another dataset. I just need to figure out how to do that now! 😅

Unfortunately I found the R software too confusing. Having to learn numerous command lines to enable statistical analysis of your data set, while simultaneously learning statistical methods is too much.

A set of packages used would be useful. The fact there is not a base, "core" package is frustrating, since it seems things like "%>%"
and "select" should be really, really core things to a language like this.

That's very confusing. I've only ever used minitab, so how is 4.466 anywhere close to 0.05? Surely that's nowhere near significant?
